How durable are the lanterns?
The frames of our lanterns are made of bamboo, we believe it gives the lantern a heart and soul. Long term exposure to drought and heat may cause the bamboo to break. We advise not to use light bulbs over 40 Watts or hang the lantern close to a heat source. The colors of our plant-dye collections are living colors and may slightly change over time. Please enjoy the gradual evolution of your naturally dyed textile.
Where are the lanterns made?
All our products are made in Taiwan. Our beloved island, among other things, is well known for its tradition in craftsmanship. We work with the finest local artisans and Taiwan's last lantern factory. Where possible, we use natural and locally sourced materials.
Are the lanterns fire resistant?
Most of our lanterns are made of 95% natural materials, which means they pass the cigarette test without treatment. All lanterns are suitable for domestic use. If you would still like your lantern to be fire treated, we can use a 3rd party treatment facility at an extra cost. Please contact us for a quote.
Are bulbs included with my purchase?
Light bulbs are excluded when you purchase. We advise not to use light bulbs over 40 Watts. LED bulbs are always recommended as they radiate minimal heat.
Usage of Products
How do I install my lantern?
All our lanterns should be installed by a licensed electrician. The necessary mounting hardware and instructions are included with your order. Installation guides can also be downloaded directly from our website.
How can I care for my lantnerns?
Using a gentle sweeping motion, wipe the lanterns with a microfibre cloth in sections, or alternatively brush it vertically from top to bottom with a soft clothes brush. Do not use chemical cleaning products on your lanterns.
Where can I see the lanterns in real life?
We don’t have a store and are currently in the process of selecting retailers internationally. We will update the stockist page soon, so you can visit showrooms that present our collection. For now if you are interested in a specific lantern, please contact us. We might come up with an idea for you to see the lantern before you purchase.
Are your products made-to-order or do you carry stock?
All of our lanterns are made-to-order. We occasionally stock of selected items, you are welcome to contact us for enquiry.
What are standard lead times?
Lead times for each piece can be 7-9weeks. Please note that the lead time period are caculated from date of full payment to ship date.
How can I pay?
We accept all major credit and debit cards and you can place your order securely on the website. Or by contact us if you wish to make bank wires.
Will I be charged sales tax?
We are required to charge sales tax (VAT) on the merchandise & shipping total for items shipped to Europe. We may not be able to process VAT refunds for international customers.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide directly from our office in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
How much does delivery cost, duty and customs?

We operates on a DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) basis. If your order is being delivered outside of the European Union, local import duty and local taxes may be applicable. Such import duties may impose a delay in your goods clearing customs, of which We has no control.
Will my shipment be trackable and insured?
All Taiwan-Lantern items ship fully insured and you will be able to track its status once it leaves our office. As soon as the shipment is initiated, we will notify you with the tracking information. We work with a variety of shipping and logistics providers and each offers full insurance coverage.
What if my order is damaged during shipping?
Damages must be documented and reported within 24 hours of receipt. We are not responsible for repair or replacement of damages reported after this time. If damage has occurred in shipping all packaging must be retained by receiver. Failure to do so may invalidate any claim.
Return & Cancellations
Can I return or cancel my order?
Since the piece you order will be made-to-order specially for you, we are not able to accept returns or exchanges. We are, however, able to cancel or modify your order if you contact us within 48 hours of your order placement.
Do you offer warranty?
One-year limited warranty against defect in material or workmanship under normal use during this period. Please check the Terms & Conditions for full warranties specifications.
Do you work with interior, decorators, architects and contractor?
Yes, we do have a Trade program. To apply, please complete this brief form , and submit it to: email@example.com. If approved, we will reach out with Trade pricing details, and will be happy to provide a formal quote whenever you like.
Can the lanterns be customized?
We take customised project, with minimum order quantity request. For more information about options and contact us to request a quote.
